“Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.” - Salvador Dali
How are you? Is 2021 any different from 2020?
I admit it I could not get rid of that plastic wrap at 100%, I am not proud. I could really blame someone else as it is due to the actual circumstances that I still use plastic wrap, but I did not try hard enough to find a solution, an alternative to it.
And now, what? I will still work on reducing my consummation of non-recycling item and will find a way to eliminate that plastic wrap. Wrapping in paper bag is an option and too bad if the sandwich leaks. I have a choice; I just need to make the right one for myself.
One thing that improved, I think, and for that I would need few more years to confirm it, I am more grounded to what is important. For the past two years I went through challenging myself with accomplishing what makes me feel a better myself and this is how, after a long journey that is only starting and will probably never ends, I am pleased to teach private yoga classes.
Before I advertise Perfectly Imperfect, a Yoga and Barre class, I would like to thank Refine Studio for inspiring me.
Sports, dance, gymnastic and health have been part of my life since I am a little girl and I am inviting women, men, and kids to not be shy, there is no previous training needed, no age restrictions, “it is never too early or too late to work towards being the healthiest You”.
While I have a degree in Spanish language, civilization, and literature I took a different path. Guillaume, my husband, and I develop our own business and to handle the stress and just for my own needs, I always practiced some physical, fitness, exercises. When I discovered Barre, a fitness program that is essentially a mixture of ballet-inspired exercises, yoga, and Pilates, I liked it so much that I took the Certification 1 and 2. At the end I realized that I was missing something. I was getting in a particularly good physical shape but not so much in a spiritual one. I started to look deeper into what Yoga offers as Barre includes some asanas and yoga flow. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a beautiful journey. After reading and experiencing yoga with spiritual and physical daily practices I was guided to teach it.
I could tell you a lot about my journey, but I would rather hear yours, where are you at in your life?
Can you seat, take a notebook, a pencil, a glass of wine, what about that Clos Solène Hommage Blanc, and write about yourself or things you like, your wish.
Then, let’s go to the kitchen with the glass of wine, leave the notebook open, ready to be written on at anytime, and start the following recipe:
Quiche sans pâte (Quiche without dough) :
Warm up the oven at 400F
3 eggs
¼ L (8.5 oz) milk (either whole or 2%)
10 cl (3.4 oz) crème fraiche (whipping cream)
2 Tablespoon of flour
100 gr (3.5 oz) of shredded cheese (I use swiss cheese, but cheddar is good)
4 slices of ham or some sliced bacon (be careful with the bacon as it is salty so do not add too much salt)
Pepper and salt
Mix all the ingredients one at a time so they all incorporate nicely. Pour the mixture into an oven pan and cook for 30 to 45 minutes.
Bon appétit!
Love and Light,
Solène
